Climate Change and Biodiversity

Climate Change and Biodiversity

At Acted for Peace, we recognize the urgent need to address the impacts of climate change and biodiversity loss, especially in fragile environments like Somalia. Our Climate Change and Biodiversity program works to protect ecosystems, build community resilience, and promote sustainable environmental practices that support both people and nature.

We engage communities in climate adaptation and mitigation initiatives, including reforestation, sustainable farming techniques, and water conservation efforts. By promoting climate-smart practices and environmental stewardship, we help reduce vulnerability to climate shocks such as droughts, floods, and desertification.

Biodiversity conservation is central to our work. We raise awareness about the importance of preserving natural habitats and native species while supporting local efforts to protect and restore degraded ecosystems. Through education, advocacy, and action, we empower communities to become custodians of their environment.

By integrating environmental sustainability into our peace and development work, Acted for Peace not only safeguards natural resources but also strengthens the capacity of communities to thrive in harmony with their environment. Together, we are building a greener, more resilient Somalia for future generations.
