Human Rights, Gender, and Democracy

Human Rights, Gender, and Democracy
At Acted for Peace, we believe that protecting human rights, advancing gender equality, and promoting democratic values are essential to building a just and peaceful society. Our Human Rights, Gender, and Democracy program is focused on creating inclusive, rights-based communities where every individual is respected, heard, and empowered.
We promote Human rights education and Advocacy to raise awareness about legal protections, social justice, and accountability. Through community forums, campaigns, and legal aid partnerships, we support individuals especially vulnerable and marginalized groups in understanding and asserting their rights.
Gender Equality is at the core of our work. We champion the rights of women and girls by addressing gender-based violence, promoting equal access to education and economic opportunities, and challenging harmful social norms. Our initiatives engage men and boys as allies, fostering shared responsibility in achieving a more equitable society.
In advancing Democracy, we strengthen civic education, support inclusive governance, and encourage active participation in decision-making processes. We create safe spaces for dialogue between citizens and institutions, ensuring that voices from all backgrounds especially women, youth, and minority communities are meaningfully included in shaping policies and priorities.
By promoting human dignity, gender justice, and democratic engagement, Acted for Peace lays the groundwork for inclusive development, accountability, and lasting peace in Somalia.
